Company Facilitator Guide
Lead your company through an evidence-led Strategy Canvas workshop, review, and report.

The Company Facilitator role
The Company Facilitator works for the participating company and manages its Strategy Canvas. The Facilitator sets up the session, invites participants, monitors completion, consolidates the team’s input, approves groupings and ratings, reviews results, and controls publication.
Before the workshop
- Open Facilitator and confirm the company and primary contact.
- Choose Live Workshop / Individual for one facilitator-controlled session or Virtual Workshop for private participant logins.
- For a Virtual Workshop, add participants and verify every email address before sending invitations.
- Ask participants to contribute independently so different perspectives are preserved.
- Review the Primer so you can explain Value Offerings and Competitive Groups.
The five-stage workflow

1. Contribute Ideas
Participants identify what customers value, compare, notice, expect, and find frustrating. They also identify direct competitors, alternative providers, internal solutions, do-it-yourself options, and nonconsumption. For Virtual Workshops, wait until every participant has submitted before grouping.
2. Approve Categories
Consolidate related ideas into customer-centered Value Offerings. Keep values separate when customers judge them independently. Group competitors by the way customers solve the problem—not only by company name. AI suggestions are a starting point; the Facilitator remains responsible for approval.

3. Complete Ratings
Rate the company and every Competitive Group from 0 to 10 on every Value Offering. Rate the current customer experience honestly. A useful curve shows similarities, sacrifices, and meaningful differences.
4. Review Results
Review Value Offerings, Competitive Groups, company ratings, and competitor ratings. Approve each area or request a specific revision. Participants can follow the session status and review available drafts.
5. Publish & Reports
Preview the Canvas charts and notes, publish the approved Canvas, request the Strategy Report, and submit the approved Canvas for comprehensive analysis and research. Review the company-facing draft before publication. Creating a draft and publishing a report are separate decisions.

- Ratings reflect the market honestly.

- No draft was published prematurely.
Your Deliverable
Once the Strategy Canvas is submitted, Westgate Marketing conducts comprehensive market and competitive research, analyzes the approved Canvas and workshop evidence, and compiles the findings into a Strategy Report, Insights and Action Plan. The Company Facilitator reviews the draft before publication, and participants receive access after it is approved.
